WLC 2013

We have officially wrapped up our WLC 2013 and I am so proud of each and every person who joined us during this challenge.  I could not be more proud of the huge progress each individual made to living healthier and happier lifestyles.  You each are an inspiration to me and everyone who knows you.
In the end we had 10 people with final weigh ins resulting in a group weight loss of 70 POUNDS! WOW, that is fantastic!

I would love to introduce you to my friend, fellow BZC member and winner of our WLC 2013

                           This is her before our 1st ever Weight Loss Challenge at 153.4lbs.....




.....and this is her weighing in at 138.3 after losing 15.1lbs, 9.84% weight loss and 12 inches all over!
HELLO tiny waste! :) and look at that glow of confidence!!

Congratulations to her for being dedicated, determined and for inspiring others by leading by example.  She listened to what was taught to her about eating properly, as that is one of the biggest factors in weight loss and stayed strong and deciplined during the 12 weeks.
Feel free to congratulate her the next time you see her at Zumba and let her know how much we support her and will continue to be here during her continued journey.

Body Blast Boot Camp Feedback

Have you been wondering what this workout is all about? If it really is as great as it looks and if it is something worth taking the time and money to try?  Here is some feedback from some of the people experiencing session 1 right now.  This should answer some of your questions.

I have absolutely loved this class! It has been so wonderful to get back to my roots of working at the barre. When I was younger and taking ballet classes, I never realized what a workout the basic technique was. I'm sure feeling it now! You have a great way of motivating your students....from the high energy music, difficult and challenging exercises, and seeing how great you look, it keeps me excited for more! Thanks for this great new experience!  It's worth every minute of my drive from Sandy!

I really love this class specifically because I feel like my body is getting stronger. Because I am pregnant and much older than I was when I had my first child, I knew I would need to strengthen my body to handle the labor and delivery. I feel this class is helping my body to prepare for just that. I really love the small class sizes, and I hope it will continue to be that way. This allows for more personal attention to each class member.  I woke up with every inch of my body feeling like it was worked.  Love it.

Oh my gosh!!! I am dying today!!! I work out 5 days a week, fairly intensely and my body rarely gets very sore.  Today, wow!!! my calves are killing me! Can't wait for Wednesday, hopefully I can get my thighs and booty to burn like this, now that I kind of know what I am doing!  Your workout was fabulous. It really pushed my legs during the workout, but I felt great after! Such a different, fun exercise too!

Body blast has been amazing for me! At 5 feet tall being able to feel longer and leaner is everything. I walk out of class feeling great. I know the pain to come is because I worked harder than I have ever worked before and the results are really starting to show. My calf muscles are pretty much amazing!  Thank you for all you do.

Wow, well where do I begin. Your class has kicked my butt. I used to dance in high school and have often wanted to get involved in something that would help me practice and develop the technique I once had (about 12 yrs ago).   It's been a rough couple of days, but I know anything that's worth it is never easy. I might be a little crazy right now, but I want to sign up for the next session you're offering in May.

I loved the workout on Saturday. It took workouts to a whole new level for me. On Sunday I could feel that I had worked my whole body. My calves were really on fire! Today is Thursday and I think it will be the first day I can walk normally! Your workout really kicked my trash and I can't wait til Saturday to do it again! I know working so hard will help me see great changes in the way I look and feel. If you still have a spot for the next session I would love to claim it.

Body Blast Boot Camp Session 2

I could not be more excited to announce that sign ups are now open for our 2nd session of Body Blast! 
Classes have been nothing less than a huge hit and complete success.  I am eagerly working to put together another fantastic set of workouts that will continue to sculpt, tone, stretch and lengthen you to a whole new level.

What a great week!

This last week was one to remember! We brought back the Friday Zumba class and it was HOT HOT HOT, as always!  Grateful for the friendships made through each class we share together.  We also ended Saturday with 2 Body Blast Boot Camp classes that were ON FIRE as well.  Literally. Our calves are still on fire!  

I am so looking forward to classes this week!  All classes are in session as normal and they are as follows:

Tuesday night Zumba @ 7:30pm at GPP Fitness 40 E. Pages Lane, Centerville Drop in only $5

Our 1st WLC 2013 (weight loss challenge) is headed in to the final weeks and we have seen great changes made in those who have committed and been working at hitting their personal goals.  I am so proud to see each of you really living healthier and happier lives.  I am gearing up to hold a 2nd WLC 2013 beginning May 1st, so please email me if you are interested in joining!  It will be a 6 week challenge ending just in time for SUMMER! :)

FRIDAY ZUMBA IS BAAAAACK!

FRIDAY ZUMBA BABY!!
What is up YO! We are alive and kickin'....kickin' the friday Zumba with Teresa class back into full swing THIS WEEK! Mark your calendar because I want to see you there. Friday class begins March 29th at 5:30pm!

Our Spring Zumba schedule beginning this week is as follows:

Tuesday 7:30pm at GPP (40 E. Pages Lane, Centerville)
Thursday 7:30pm at GPP (40 E. Pages Lane, Centerville)
Friday 5:30pm at Expressions Dance (3221 S. Highway 89, Bountiful)

All classes are just $5 to drop in or you can save when you purchase a 10 class punch pass for just $40!  I am so excited to party with the Friday BZC again.

UPDATE:
I have spent weeks in preparation for a new class I am calling
Body Blast Boot Camp at the Barre 
and I CAN'T WAIT for you to fall in love with this as much as I have!!  This class will be offered in 5 week sessions. You must be pre-paid and signed up prior to the start of a 5 week session in order to get the discounted price.  There is a drop in class option available, not to worry, you will just have to pay the individual class full price.  Due to equipment and the need for more individual attention and training, the class sizes are limited to 12 pre-registered students per class with 3 spots available each class for drop in visitors or those making up a missed class.  However if you will be dropping in, bringing  a visitor, or taking a different class time as a make up, you must email me at teresa@kneaders.com or tntauvaa@gmail.com 24 hours before the class time to ensure there is space and equipment. Make sense?

 
I will be providing you with the equipment you will need for this class and I have choreographed this workout designed around the ballet barre based on getting the most out of each class that we can.  All workouts are focused on strength, stability, core, flexibility, toning and much more!  Due to how quickly these classes filled, and based on the days and times that you expressed were best, there are currently 3 class times being offered for these sessions and they are as follows:
 
Wednesday 7pm at Expressions Dance (3221 S. Highway 89, Bountiful)
Saturday 7:30am at Expressions Dance (3221 S. Highway 89, Bountiful)
Saturday 9:00am at Expressions Dance (3221 S. Highway 89, Bountiful)
 
All classes are 90 minutes.  I hope you see a time that works great for you and that you will come give it a try!  It is a transforming workout like nothing else and I will be sure to have you bakini ready by summer! :)

The new and improved!

It is time.  Time to take things to the next level.  I am so pumped with how much excitement is in the air around our fitness program and the lives that are changing on a daily basis.  You are all so inspiring!!   Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your dreams, goals, passion and drive with me!  It is what keeps me going, bringing NINJA and only the best, each and every time. 

WLC2013: The 90 day weight loss challenge has been great, if you weren't aware we had one going on, we are in week 7 and it has been a fantastic learning experience.  The group as a whole has lost over 100 pounds!!

Now, to some EXCITING NEWS!  Friday Zumba with Teresa will be returning at 5:30pm beginning March 29th just in time for Easter.  Class will be held at 
Expressions Dance 3221 S. Highway 89 and is only $5 for drop in or $40 punch pass. 

NEW: I have gained so much experience and knowledge in the dance and fitness industry and am excited to bring something new to all of you.  I am in the process of working on a personal training type program (similar to toning ballet barre workouts) that will focus on the most calories burned in the shortest amount of time while hitting core, strength, stability, toning, weight loss, flexibility and more.  Not to worry, all set to only the hottest playlist in town!  I will be holding sessions on Saturday mornings and they will be based on sign ups with me directly.  If you are interested in having this fantastic fitness experience, email me today at tntauvaa@gmail.com or teresa@kneaders.com letting me know!

Motivation



I have been asking myself this question the last few days and want to hear from you too. 
What motivates YOU? 
It seems that all around us it's too easy to give up and stop trying to reach our goals.  As a busy working woman, wife, mother, sister, friend etc...
It can seem overwhelming at times to continue doing the daily routine and soon I find I am putting myself last on the list of things to work on.
When this happens do you get remotivated?
What are the things that get you up and going each day?

Music Therapy

PUMP UP THAT JAM!
 
Studies show that cranking a track, especially one with lyrics you really relate to,
can get you back on top of your game when you're feeling low.  When you identify with something the artist is singing or rapping about, that seems to help us deal better with our own issues.  Researchers say listening to hip-hop is kind of like free therapy!
That explains it!
No wonder we all feel so good after our pumped up classes!
